Sent-out is what the grid actually receives. The difference between generation and sent-out is station own-use, typically 3–8% of gross generation. A widening gap suggests plant inefficiency.
Sent-out energy is the true supply baseline for Nigeria's grid. It directly determines how much power the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) can wheel to distribution companies.
